CLERMONT, Ind. -- Drag racing's most prestigious event, the 49th annual Mac Tools U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park, Aug. 27-Sept. 1, will be showcased by ESPN's family of networks this Labor Day weekend with 13 hours of programming. The network's coverage will begin on Aug. 30 with a one hour qualifying show on ESPN2 starting at 7:30 p.m. (ET). There will be two shows on Aug. 31: a two hour qualifying show on ESPN at 1 p.m. (ET), followed by a three hour qualifying show on ESPN2 that will include coverage of the Budweiser Shootout, starting at 9:30 p.m. (ET). Final eliminations will feature two shows on ESPN2 on Sept. 1, including two hours of early eliminations coverage at 11 a.m. (ET) and a three-hour final eliminations show, starting at 8 p.m. (ET). ESPN's NHRA magazine show, NHRA 2Day, will provide two half-hour shows previewing (Sept. 1, 10:30 a.m. ET) and reviewing (Sept. 7, 11 a.m. ET) the event. ESPN2 will provide a one hour show featuring a highlight summary of racing completed in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. (ET).
